| An Imaginary Interview With Forbes Magazine |
|
Success is achieving what you want. Happiness is wanting what you have achieved. There are no two success stories alike. Like snowflakes, we form our success in different ways. How are you going to form your success story? Imagine this: In ten years Forbes (Inc./Fast Company or name your favorite) magazine will write an article about you. How would you want the title and sub-title to read? Would you like to have the story focused on you, the person who did it his/her way? Or, would you rather be about you, the person who never lost their modesty, never forgot their friends… (Fill in the blanks). What is important to you? Designing a strategy for success is different for each organization. There are certain components that are systematic, however, the goals and outcomes should fit the organization and the leadership style. Dare to think out of the box, create and innovate, and break all the rules. Don’t just try to fit in. Times are challenging, and companies, in order to succeed, need to originate new ways to promote and sell their product and service. Don’t be afraid to step out, do and be different. You will either step forward into growth or you will step back into safety. – A. Maslow Do you have what it takes? Research shows that PREP are the most common qualities that make up an extraordinary leader: Passion. Resilience. Endurance. Persistence. However, it takes more then just these four. Look at the extended list compiled from a variety of sources that talk about leadership, and find out which are your driving forces. Choose the 10 that in your opinion are most dominant in you. Then ask your top team members to make their own list. What did you find out? How will this affect your company and future plans? Give me a call and find out what it means for your company.
